WHAT is Pints in the Park?

Pints in the Park is an afternoon session of craft beer sampling, Texas BBQ joints, backyard games and live music. This ticketed event helps keep the City of Waco's Brazos Nights concerts in downtown FREE!

WHEN is Pints in the Park and where will it take place?

Date TBA. From 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. VIP entry at 2 p.m.; BBQ & Beer / General Admission entry at 3 p.m. The event will be held along the river at Brazos Park East in Waco, Texas - 2000 Martin Luther King, Blvd.

WHY should I purchase A VIP Ticket?

With early entrance, the opportunity to taste rare beers and signature BBQ samples, why not? VIP patrons gain access to the festival's Happy Hour prior to general admission attendees. VIPs will receive free swag like a pint glass, have in-and-out privileges and get front row parking.  Tickets are limited!

Why should I purchase tickets in advance?  And why did I pay ticket fees?

Convenience and  guaranteed admittance.  We are limiting the ticket sales to ensure you receive the best experience at our festival, and we hope to sell out.  Buy early, save and enjoy!  Plus, if you buy pre-sale tickets you’ll save…reducing the convenience fees.  

Can I purchase tickets at the gate?

It all depends on ticket sales…we hope to sell out before the event, so we encourage to buy early.  Better yet, BUY NOW!

What payment methods will be accepted?

Cash only at the gate.  ATMs will be available. Some vendors may accept plastic, but we encourage you to bring cash.

HOW does the Beer Sampling Card Work?

If you purchase a VIP or BBQ/Beer ticket (21 and up only), you will receive a FREE tasting cup and punch card. The card gives you access to 12, 2-ounce samples (aka 24 ounces of greatness).  

Can I Purchase Full Beers?

Why yes you can. The Can Stand will have $5 cold ones. Thanks to our Partners at Dancing Bear Pub and Ben E. Keith Waco, the following cold cans will be available at the Can Stand.


Remember this is a “tasting” event…plus we have to follow state laws and by law, only 24 ounces of beer can be sold at one time.  No worries though, additional sampling cards can be purchased at the event. 


Our local partners at the Dancing Bear Pub have curated an awesome line-up of breweries and seasonal crafts. There will be some beers you've heard of, along with some limited releases you've never tried!  We’ll post the official beer a couple weeks before the event…the anticipation will be worth the wait, we promise.

What about the bbq and Food?

If you are a VIP, you will get signature BBQ samples from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. BBQ/Beer ticket holders get BBQ samples until 5 p.m. After 5, remaining BBQ can be purchased. We will also have local food trucks on site selling during the entire event.


Outside food and drinks will not be allowed…we have plenty to choose from once you enter!


Of course. Our vendors will have waters, sodas, coffee and more. Hydration is key!

What's the Hotel situation?

We suggest calling our friends at Waco Hilton in downtown (113 S University Parks Dr Waco, TX 254-754-8484). Very convenient to the park and a sponsor of the event. There's also the Courtyard by the Marriott right next to the Hilton. 

Are kiddos welcome?

Yes, this is a family friendly event, but keep in mind it is a craft beer festival.   Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult to enter. Kids must have a general admission ticket to enter.  

Should we expect there to be lines at the event?

As with any successful events, you can expect to wait in a line or two.  We encourage you to arrive early and have the have your ticket and ID ready at the gate.  We will pre-process tickets to move the line as quickly as possible. If you want to avoid lines and have access one hour early, purchase a VIP ticket.  Within the event the beers/breweries in higher demand will likely have lines but we expect them to move quickly.  While at the event please be courteous to those behind you in line and try to limit conversations with brewery representatives when possible. Bottom line, if there’s a line that means it’s probably pretty good.

Where can I park? How much will it cost?

Free parking will be available in lots on a first- come, first-serve basis.  VIP ticket holders will have a designated lot right by the entrance gate and will have in-and-out access throughout the event.  

Can I bring my pet to the event?

As much as we love them, please leave your furry friends at home. 

Can I bring a lawn chair to the event?

Yes,  picnic-style seating will be available throughout the park, but blankets and lawn chairs are welcome.

What items are NOT allowed at the event?

Bags other than small handbags (Backpacks, coolers, etc), weapons (knives, pepper spray, concealed weapons, nunchucks, maces, etc), illegal drugs or Chemicals, fireworks, unapproved Marketing Materials of any kind or other items as determined by event security. 

ALL bags are subject to search upon entry to the event.  Security reserves the right to ask anyone to return any prohibited items to their vehicle, or dispose of the items. Non-cooperation may lead to ejection without refund.  A small handbag is permitted but is subject to search upon entry. 


All festival attendees are expected to drink responsibly. Any guest who is believed to be intoxicated when entering the festival will be denied entry, and a refund for your admission will not be provided. We’ll have plenty to go around, so please don’t pre-party!

Any attendee who is found intoxicated or causing general disturbance will be asked to leave the facility without a refund.


We are not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed tickets and do not issue refunds once tickets are purchased.
